Pat Foiles
Pat Foiles understands the meaning of unconditional giving. She passionately donates her time, talents and ideas to any project she tackles.
Born in East Alton, Illinois, Pat graduated from East Alton Wood River High School in 1971 and attended the vocational school of Animal Sciences in 1991. As a teenager, Pat volunteered to sing and play guitar for the patients at Alton State Hospital. She also entertained at the VFW picnic in Sorento, Illinois every summer.
Pat moved to Kansas City in 1973 and started her career making Custom Draperies. In 1991 she changed careers and now works for Balls Price Chopper where she is a Pricing Coordinator. Pat settled in the Maple Park Neighborhood and became involved shortly after the neighborhood was established. She served as Treasurer for several years and now serves as Secretary.
Pat spends many hours doing clean-ups and helps supervise kids who perform community service in Maple Park. She volunteered to supervise Hot Summer Nights, a basketball and dancing program for kids 13 to 17. Pat also helped finish the interior of an elderly neighbor’s home, allowing the woman to move out of the damp basement she was living in. Bike rodeos and neighborhood picnics have been frequent volunteer activities for Pat, and she is a mainstay of NNI events such as Night out against Crime, the Safe Trick or Treat Halloween, and the Annual Breakfast. She is a past recipient of NNI’s Neighborhood Champion Award.
In her free time Pat enjoys volunteering, music, art, spending time with family, friends and animals. Pat’s unconditional dedication to volunteering has made a difference.
